Ardclinis Outdoor Adventure specialises in adventures with
"an angle". Specific learning points can be incorporated.
Here's a series of ideas: |
Search and rescue exercises can
include first aid skills and navigation
briefs. |
Your team can run a stretcher
lower. As an exercise, it's best if we weight
the stretcher rather than tie in one of the
team members! |
Pioneering - challenging rope
work with a purpose like building a structure
or making meal by remote control (from
outside a certain area). |
Radio work between two remote
areas to convey a message. |
Ardclinis can programme
activities which include simple map or plan
making. You could explore and map an area by
canoes or other watery transport. |
Novel transportation - types of
A to B journeys which can only be achieved
with perseverance. |
Your team can construct novel
transportation. |
Ardclinis has a number of
project ideas where your organisation helps
in the community. Let us know the objectives
and we'll come up with the project!. |
| Initiative Challenges |
A series of problem solving
tasks undertaken in small teams. Learning
points are discussed in frontloading sessions
and during reviews. |
For example, block out, hardy
annual spider's web, cones, scrambled egg,
tent, maze, sheep and shepherd, ski walk,
Martians and aliens, cyclops, marble tubes,
roller ball and barrel. |
| Scenarios |
Green Adair - a resources game
with abseiling and navigation. |

What about a quiz where the

We have quizzes divided into

What about some goal oriented
games where each team move to huddles, to
supporting each other, to all sorts of weird
shapes and positions? |
Ardclinis Outdoor Adventure has
activities for all age groups. |
What about relay events where
the teams compete for the answers which are
posted up around the room? |

run safe, fun events for your group. |

intellectually demanding. |

Logic Games include Plato,
Nails, Hexagon, Towers of Hanoi,
Piecewordtable, Wordcircle, Seven Crates, The
